Colorado Springs, Colo. (August 27, 2026) β U.S. teams brought home the gold in all three divisions of the . The week-long tournament wrapped up last weekend in Limerick, Ireland, with seven of the nine U.S. teams competing at the event earning a place on the podium.
In the mixed division, U.S. teams pulled off a sweep, with Ann Arbor Hybrid claiming the gold in a decisive 15-9 win over silver medalists New York XIST, while Fort Collins shame. triumphed over Austriaβs Mosquitos Klosterneuburg to take home bronze. The open division also saw two American teams facing off in the final, with gold medal team San Francisco Revolver playing a tightly contested game against second place finisher New York PoNY. In the womenβs division, Washington Scandal won the final 15-13 over Netherlandsβ GRUT while San Francisco Fury took the win in the bronze medal game 15-10 over Tokyo Mavericks.
Only two U.S. teams did not medal. Chicago Machine finished fifth in the menβs division and Boston Brute Squad sixth in the womenβs. Both teams were initially seeded second in their respective divisions but fell to other U.S. teams in the quarterfinals round.
The WFDF World Ultimate Club Championships are hosted every four years, with the next edition scheduled to be held in 2030. U.S. teams qualify for the event based on their finish at the 91³ΙΘΛ National Championships the year prior. This yearβs National Championships will return to San Diego October 22-25, where Hybrid, Revolver and Scandal will have a chance to face off against elite competition from across North America in an attempt to claim a second championship gold in 2026. Hybrid may also have the additional possibility of winning back-to-back Triple Crowns. Their hopes of becoming the first team to do so remain dependent on winning the upcoming next weekend.
